Bachelor's, 2019 — 2023
As mentioned on the main page,
I hold a bachelor's degree from St. Petersburg State University.
What wasn't mentioned, is that I obtained my degree specifically from the
Liberal Arts and Sciences faculty. I won't go into the details regarding
the education itself and the disgraceful fall of this system; here I want to
store and make public some of the essays (which was the main assessment method)
I'd written during my 4 years at the faculty.
Some of the essays were originally written in English, while the majority of the body of my work was completed in Russian, my native language.
Year 1
- Final essay «Secret Hidden in a Book» en Favourite
- Nine essays, some are fictional, some are heart-breakingly honest and raw en
- Six philosophy-leaning essays, three per semester ru
Year 2
Master's, 2023 — 2025
As also mentioned on the main page, I hold a master's degree
from HSE University. Contrary to the bachelor's programme, this one wasn't
as essay-oriented. As a result, I think the written output consists of only the
course work and my Master's thesis. Both of the texts were originally written in
English, as the programme was taught entirely in English.
Literary School of Poetry, 2019
In 2019, I won the regional All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren in Literature.
I was just able to write good essays, and analysing the literature was easy for me, but
I wasn't that much invested into this subject. However, after I'd won the Olympiad,
I found out that my mother had enrolled me into an education centre for gifted children.
I went to Sochi for a whole month of February. At the time, I was desperate to get out.
Those of you who are lucky to speak Russian will understand what I mean if they read
my literary output in the corresponding section. For those not bestowed with the
skill of speaking the mother tongue of Nabokov, I will put it shortly: I was an angsty teen.
